A big part of my role at Amaris is to explain to our (potential) customers what the value of modern solutions and services can be and how they can get started with them. In an effort to do this for chatbots and virtual assistants, I did a live webinar back in June 2020 to all of the interested customers and employees of Amaris.
The webinar starts of with an explanation of what chatbots are and what the potential value for your company might be. After that we dive into the tools and platforms that Microsoft has provided us to easily build a chatbot. Of course, we did a live demo showing all of these tools in action and built a COVID19 (original right?) chatbot that can answer FAQ’s and can look up the number of confirmed cases in a country.
The demo focuses on the following technologies:
- Microsoft Bot Framework: The glue to bring everything together
- Bot Framework Composer: A graphical user interface to build conversation flows
- LUIS: The Natural Language Processing (NLP) engine of Microsoft to understand what our end user is saying
- QnA Maker: A Microsoft Cognitive Service that is able to jumpstart your bot building journey by automatically converting existing FAQ’s to intents for your chatbot.
Happy viewing!
